Work In Progress

Sorry it’s been so long since I posted something; the hard drive on my computer died and I just got my fixed computer back today. The guy wasn’t able to save anything so everything on my computer is gone. I really need to back up my computer this time. Oh well. Most of my pictures and videos are on Facebook and I saved all my documents dealing with my writing the day before my computer died because it was acting funny. So all in all it wasn’t too bad.

Despite the fact that I haven’t had a computer for a week or so, I have done some work on my novel! I have brief bios for several more characters. I previously had a story line that I rather liked, but then I realized that there wasn’t much to it and what there was to it had already been done. Thankfully I didn’t get too disheartened. It has been a great starting point for me. I can’t just pull something out of thin air; I need to have a starting point and work from there. I’ve already made a bunch of changes to the plot, but there is still a whole lot I need to figure out.

I can’t wait until the weather warms up a bit so that I can sit outside on the back deck and write. I tend to feel more inspired when I’m outside, but it’s a bit cold at the moment. I need to take more walks around the lake, that is a great way to get my mind focused on my novel and get the creative juices flowing.

  1. If you were in NC you’d be able to sit outside. I think spring showed up out of no where today and even the trees have bloomed. I miss winter!!!!!! Despite your broken computer, I’m super proud that you’ve been writing!!!!! WAY TO GO, BECCA!!!
